Hello!
Tomorrow is the first day of March!! I can't wait till St. Patrick's Day Tour starts. It starts on the 8th. It ends on the 18th. We are doing all of the days except the first Sunday. The last day, Day of Dance, is always on a Sunday, and since St. Patrick's Day is on a Saturday, and they couldn't do it on the 11th, because that would just be unsanitary, so they did it after St. Patrick's Day. So, yeah. I want to put some pictures up. I think that I will do some St. Patrick's Day pictures that are from last year, or, the year before that etc. etc. etc. Let's see if I can actually find any.
This is the only picture that I could find from last year. I was wearing a old wig that day. It got kind of crooked.
Here is Miranda and I doing the jig. This was from 2010, and the it was the last year we were doing the jig. It was also the last year that we had school dresses.
Below was from the same year. We were taking a break at Bruger's Bagel's, and we walked by Lucy.
Well, I think that that's all of the pictures that I can find!
I think I'll stop now.
I'll try to blog tomorrow!
Bye!
Hello. The other day I was thinking that I should do a post about something, instead of something complete nonsense, so I decided that I would post about animals. We talked about animals in about 1 post, I think. Well, let's start with the two main animals of this blog: Sally and Seamus. Let's review: Seamus is our 4-year-old cat, who is one of the most annoying cats in the world. He will wake you up at night, by meowing his 'meowllll' meow. He likes to eat, but sometimes he just isn't able to keep it down. He sleeps a lot too. Those are his main things he does: Eat, Sleep, and Go Outside. (apart from spraying)
Sally: She is a very clean, pretty, and soft cat. She is declawed, but she once defended Seamus from Jasper, who lives across the street. She is basically scared of everthing. Sometimes she goes berserk, chasing her tail, or a 'silent' (one that doesn't make any noise, and by the way, Seamus was just on the table) balls, or playing with a ribbon. If you try to pick her up, she will put her back feet on your stomach, and you can't really do it unless you are holding her feet in one hand. And another thing: She can't drink anywhere else but Mom's bathroom sink. With her paw. She goes: dip, dip, lick, lick, lick, lick. Dip, dip, lick, lick, lick, lick. Both of them: When Seamus first came, Sally just couldn't bear him. She batted him on the head, because he just wanted to play. She then dwarfed him, and now he almost dwarfed her. They both sleep together sometimes on my bed, and sometimes they just sit by each other. They get along pretty well now a days.
Anyway, now we will move on to the animals that I like. Since I have been reading Redwall books, I like lots of animals now. Let's begin with one of the animals that I have liked for a long time. Platypuses! I thought they were so cute. Especially the male ones, even thought they have poisenous stingers on their hind feet. I got a few books on them and learned that the female is about 3 times smaller then the male. Anyway, I didn't really put any picture up of them on my bulletin board.
My next favorite animals was: a Puma! This is why: Me and Selena crashed our bikes into one another and I REALLY REALLY REALLY bruised my knee; I seriously had a LARGE goose-bump right below my knee-cap. That was on Sunday, and the next day I had dance class. It was really really hurty, and I couldn't go on my knee. I go on my knee a lot, for example: getting cereal, spices, crackers, candy, all sorts of things. On Monday I really didn't feel like dancing, but Mom said I had to try. We got some hand-me-downs from someone, and that included a Puma (the brand) shirt and skirt. I wore the Puma skirt, with my favorite blue tank-top! I didn't like the shirt, and besides, it was Miranda's. I did really well, and at the end, I did my Treble Jig all by myself, and the workshop teacher that was there to teach new steps to everyone who did Oireachtas, (She was a really good dancer from Ireland) watched me! I was really glad. Anyway, that's why I like Pumas. On Friday that week, I got several compliments that my skirt was really cute. I really like it now. I put really cool pictures of Pumas on my bulletin board.
Now I like the following:
Badgers, mice, hares, otters, hedgehogs, moles, squirrels, and all of the GOOD animals in the Redwall Saga. Well, I think that is a long enough post about animals!
I'll try to blog tomorrow!
Bye!
Hello.
Today is the last day of St. Patrick's Day Tour classes. Cassie will be teaching us, I think. I am now reading The Bellmaker, another Redwall book. Please start to read them. I really want you to, because I don't really like to type the whole book. Hey, that's a good idea! One chapter a week. That is a good idea. I would type the Redwall book. But, still it's MUCH easier if you just read it yourself. In case you would like to go to the library right now, the author is Brian Jacques. He died in 2010 or 2011. I'm not really sure. Oh well. You can look him up at Wikipedia. Any way, I hope that Miranda will be able to do St. Patrick's Day Tour, and Tour starts in 12 days. I CAN'T WAIT! We have already typed our rosters, as I said in another post. For this Saturday, the theme is that you wear your favorite color. My favorite color is purple, but I hardly have any purple things, so I am wearing my pink Hello Kitty t-shirt, a pink skirt, blue sweatpants and pink socks. My pink Hello Kitty socks are in the wash, so I couldn't wear them. Oh well. Miranda is wearing blue. I didn't have any pink sweatpants, so I couldn't wear pink sweatpants. Oh well. (again) I'm not sure what the theme was last Saturday, because I was not there, because we had a friend from church's 97th birthday party, so we couldn't go. Anyway, we have to leave in about 10 minutes, so I have to get ready.
Bye!
Hello.
I am reading Martin the Warrior, the....5th book?(in case you are new on this, Martin the Warrior is a book in the saga Redwall) I'm not quite sure. Anyway, it's about Martin, (you may read about my dad's opinion about Redwall on his blog) who is the symbol of Redwall, the Warrior of Redwall, and he has a sword, that his father gave him before his father was going out to do..something. (a mission, let us say) So, (Martin's mother died in a vermin attack when he was a infant) his father leaves, and he leaves his mother in charge of Martin. But, Badrang and his horde capture him and his grandmother, and in the process stealing the Martin's sword. So both of them are taken as slaves in Badrang's fortress, Marshank. Well, there are these two squirrels, Barkjon and...I forget the other one's name, (Barkjon is the father, the other one the son) and Barkjon is trying to carry a rock, and the slave driver whips him, and Martin stops him. Then Badrang comes up, and takes Martin away to the prisoner pit, but the other squirrel, throws a rock or something at Badrang, so he ends up in the prisoner pit too. Then.......Oh, you 're going to have to read the book yourself, because this is getting hard to remember. Well, anyway, today I had Ramen Noodle Soup for lunch. I have it every Tuesday, but I had an egg on Tuesday, so I had to have Ramen Noodle Soup for lunch on Wednesday (today). Ooooh! Mom is making poppyseed muffins. I LOVE poppyseed muffins. They are one of my favorite kinds of muffins. My next favorite kind is mommy's pumpkin muffins, made with actual pumpkin. I don't really know what other kind of muffin I like best. I like pomegranates too. They are soooo good. You people who read this should try them. Here's a hint: You have to actually take the core off to get at the pomegranate seeds. And don't spit the crunchy things inside the pomegranate seed out. You're actually supposed to eat that too. I also learned to like....rumagroute? Roumagroute? I am not sure how you spell it, but it ends with a groute. (help, Grandma!) Here's another funny thing: mom was reading Robinson Crusoe to us, and we had the Eagle Cam on. You know, the cam in Iowa. He was sitting on the dining room table, watching it. Then he got down and into the computer chair. He was still watching it. Then, he started batting at the eagle's head! (it was laying on 2 eggs) We wanted to get a movie of it, but nobody could find the camera, and when we did, he had jumped down and went away. It was super funny. Well, I think that I will stop now, so I'll blog more tomorrow.
Bye!
Hallo.
We just got home from a friend's 97th birthday party. I don't have any pictures. Why would I need any? I don't really want to put any up. Well, in case I haven't told you, the roster came out about 5 days ago. I already typed it. I did it in 2 days. Last time, I think it took longer. I suppose that is because I am a better typer. We are doing 5 of 6 days. (on tour.) I am reading Salamandastron. Usually, in books that (remember, I'm talking about the Redwall series) have Salamandastron in it, they don't actually have Redwall Abbey in it. But this one does. When I first started reading it (even though I'm only on chapter 8) I was wondering if Klitch, the weasel was good or bad. I think that he's bad. Sorry, this is a really short post about 3 subjects, but there isn't really any more to say.
Bye!
.
Happy Valentine's Day!
I just finished doing a Banana Grams crossword doing all the words that start with M in Redwall. There is Martin, Matthias, Mortimor, Mattimeo, Methuselah, and Mossflower. Those are all I could think of at the moment. Before I did that I had a chocolate marshmallow filled milk chocolate heart. I was playing my whistle with dad. I'm going to play my whistle in our family shows with dad. I'm not very good at remembering songs I was playing, because another one just gets stuck in my head, so I will probably have a hard time remembering tomorrow if I practice.(which I probably will)
Sorry, if you are expecting about pink and hearts and things, I'm sorry, because I don't go to Valentine's day parties, and if I had pictures of me wearing pink I would put them up. I'm sorry to say this too, but I don't really have pictures of me wearing pink. Sorry, but, that's the way it goes. Well, our teacher told us that she would be sending the roster out in the next 24 hours. I'm not really sure if that's tomorrow, or it if was supposed to be yesterday, or if that is in a week, or two days, I'm not sure, because sometimes she is a little forgetful. On the first day of tour, everybody will be FREAKING OUT because I have a new dress. I just HATE IT when they do that. It's SOOO annoying. Oh well. They are just saving up their screams, because I have told no one about it. When I tried it on for my teacher, no one was there except three people, two friends and my mom. (besides Fauna, my teacher) Well, I need to go!
Bye!
Remember yesterday, when I told you about making doll dresses out of old leotards? Well, I just finished uploading pictures of them.
Here is Millie: (Sese did her hair)
Note: Mom going down the hallway. I didn't mean to get that.
Here is Violet: (Sese did her hair too)
Here is Mia's outfit. Sese made one, and I made one. This is the one that I made. (Sese did the hair!)
Sorry, Millie got in the picture a little bit.
This is the outfit that Sese made:
(She took out the hair because it was getting a little messy; Sorry I only have one picture!)
Well, that's all we did. I might note that Mia's outfits' were made out of the same thing. Millie's was made out of a old velvet Navy blue leotard. Violet's was made out of an old black leotard. I think that Millie's dress was the best that I made. Well, today we are all practicing for our family show that is in four weeks. Way to plan ahead. I have dance class today. Cassie is going to teach. And Miranda is going to dance! Hurray! I had to go with someone else because her foot was in a boot. (read her last post about it at: www.yourstrulymir.blogspot.com. I need to get dressed. And then I need to clean the bathroom. And then, I need to practice my whistle with dad. *Sigh* So much to do! (NOT) Well, I need to go now!
Bye!
Hallo.
About 20 minutes ago, I got home from dance. Well, well, isn't that nice? (NOT) *Sigh*. I'm bored. I also like to play Temple Run. (sorry, can't really explain) *Sigh again*. Well, if I absolutely can't think of ANYTHING to blog about, I will blog about what I did today. Well, I woke up at about 7:00 in the morning to hear Seamus screeching at the bad cat across the street. (the good thing is, those people are going to be moving) You don't know what its like. Anyway, at about 7:45, I got up and I had oatmeal and Cheerio's for breakfast. After that, I went in bed again and snuggled with Seamus. (don't worry, he was sleeping). Miranda came in a few minutes later and she got in bed too. Then, we did morning devotions. After that I put away my stuff and cleaned up my room. I stalled a little bit by trying to juggle stuffed animals. Then I got dressed, brushed my hair and my teeth, and did my Math. Then, I did my vocabulary stuff, geography, and penmanship. Then, I had lunch. I had Nachos and apples for lunch. After that, I read one chapter of 'The Incredible Journey' (A book about 2 dogs and a cat who get lost and almost get themselves killed). After that, I went downstairs and made Miranda's Millie Keith doll a dress out of a old leotard. Then I tried to make my Violet Travilla doll a out fit out of a leotard, but I had to get ready for dance, so I couldn't finish it. Then, I filled up my water-bottle and I got 'Lord Brocktree' and my chapstick in a bag and put all of that stuff in the entry-way. After about 5 minutes, we leaved and picked up the girl who was carpooling with us. We got to dance class. I put on my shoes, got my dance notebook and went inside the studio. We did 1-2-3 drills and then we did.....whatever about drills. We started with Reels, and so off to the side I practiced my Slip Jig. Then, we did Slip Jig for about 10 minutes and then Reels went again. Then Slip Jig went again, doing 2 steps. (we did one first time) Then, we (the girls my age) all did Scythian Reel, because my other teacher is going to be there instead of the one who usually teaches, so she wanted to make sure it was okay. Then we were done. Then I stayed about an hour and fifteen minutes.
I had supper (meatballs. yum!) and I read Uncle Wiggley's stories, and then I played Cordy. Then, people for the next class started coming, and I let Miranda have a turn. Then, in about fifteen minutes, we left. Then, (in the entry-way) I took off my hat, my coat, my boots, and set down my bags and water-bottle. Then I went upstairs, and HERE I AM! Okay. Well, that's all the things that I did today!
Bye!
Okay, now I FINALLY HAVE THE PICTURES OF MY DRESS!!!!! I took them today and we just finished uploading them. Here:
I just put both of them up. Which one do you think is better? Sorry about all the junk in the back round. I can't wait for St. Patrick's Day! I keep asking mom every day, 'Did the Roster come out yet?' but of course, it probably won't come out for about 2 weeks. Today I was figuring out which stuffed animals we were going to sleep with and I was writing it down in my Snoopy notebook. I think it goes till July. Well, I'm reading Lord Brocktree now. STILL. Not still. I wasn't reading it last post, was I? I might of just started it. I'm not quite sure. Well, I need to get off now, so I'll blog tomorrow!
Hallo.
REALLY sorry I haven't put any pictures up of my dress (with me in it), but we didn't take very much pictures. Of me opening it, I mean. But I PROMISE I will tomorrow. I don't have any other pictures of me opening it. I will take pictures tomorrow, and I will upload them, and I will post them on my blog. Okay? Good. And guess what? We won't have to alter it at all! All except, the girl who had it didn't have dress shields, (it's REALLY scratchy it the armpits) and Mom will be able to put those in herself. I will be able to wear it for St. Patrick's Day! Maybe I should post a video of me dancing in it. Maybe not. I'll put a picture of everything of it on. Maybe I should just post a picture of me in my wig and headband, and poodle-socks, and bloomers, and ghillies, AND THE DRESS ITSELF! Duh. Well, now, Miranda will need to find a solo dress. It would be nice if she could have a cupcake skirt too. (the kind of skirt that my dress has) Well, I think that I will go now. Bye!
IT REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY CAME!!!!!!!! I am soooooooo happy! We thought that it would be a little bit too big, but it fits WONDERFULLY! It's sooooo cute! We are going to go to dance soon and my teachers will tell us what they think. In case you didn't see when I posted a picture of it, I will describe it for you: Its blue, and white, and lime green. (this blogger doesn't have very good colors, so I couldn't show you what they were) Well, anyway, we (Sonja, Myself, and Selena) were on a walk (Miranda didn't want to come PLUS she has a boot) in the pond, and we were about to leave when mom called and said THAT IT CAME!!!! We all ran home, and mom cut the package, and I opened the package AND NOW WE HAVE IT! Sorry, I can't put up a picture.
Well, I need to leave for dance in about 20 minutes, so I'll blog tomorrow!!!!
Yes-It's true! It JUST MIGHT COME!!!!!!!!!! Mom was tracking it this morning and it was at the border. About a half hour ago she was again AND ITS IN LAKEVILLE! AT OUR POST-OFFICE! Oh! I can't wait! If it comes today, I will blog LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS about it! I'll give you a picture and everything! I can't wait till the mail comes! If you can't see the picture that I posted then I will give you one. Well, I need to go now!!
If my dress comes, I'll blog again!
Hallo.
Yesterday was the feis. It was a disaster. Not really. It just seemed like it. Everybody was squished into a room that was about 35' by 40'. There were two stages. Stage A was on a REAL stage, and that was super nice. Stage B was just regular pieces of wood screwed together. There were chairs diagonal (to face Stage B), and chairs frontwards (to face Stage A). The weird thing was, that the musician was playing for two stages at once. It worked like this: One stage was doing Reel, and the other stage was doing reel, so therefore, the musicians were able to play for two stages at once. Now, your asking what if one group was bigger than the other? That didn't matter. Even if your group was done, the musicians kept playing, and the judge rang the bell and we all go off. Might be hard to understand. By the way, did I mention that the feis was in the Great Room in Nickelodeon Universe? Believe it or not, it was. Outside the Great Room was the warm-up area. For awards, we went on the Terrace. It's kind of above the Great Room. For places: I got a 1st in my Treble Jig.That is one of the dances that I would be doing for Oireachtas. I think that that counts for me qualifying for Oireachtas. Kind of. I'm not sure. Anyway, I didn't get anything else. Well, for the feis, I wore Miranda's dress (You know, the watermelon and white one). And, my bangs (I'm growing them out), since they couldn't be put into side bangs, because they would just fall out, so we just pinned them up. Here's a picture:
I was waiting for awards. On the Terrace. Hmm, now. Is there anything else that I need to tell you? Well, I think that I should of placed in my Slip Jig, cause I had the hardest steps, and I think that......Well, yeah.
I'll probably blog tomorrow!
Hello!
Today is the feis! I can't wait! It's at the Mall of America, in Nickelodeon Universe, in the Great Room. I will have to leave at 11:50. My first dance will be at hmmmmm. 1:00 at the earliest. I'm going to have to be there from 12:15 to 7:30! Poor me! This was supposed to be a get there, do your dances, get your results, leave feis. But not for me it isn't! Since my first dance is in Novice, and all of my other ones are in Prizewinner, I have to do my Slip Jig, wait 2 hours for awards, (I don't know why they are doing awards for Novice and Prizewinner) and then wait ANOTHER 2 hours for my Reel! Then I will have to wait about 45 minutes and then I will do my Treble Jig and RIGHT after I go off stage I go back on stage and do the Hornpipe. Then we wait about 2 hours AGAIN till awards. They say that Awards are supposed to be at 7:15. I doubt if anything will be on time. Well, I'm not going to wear my old dress. I'm going to wear Meema's dress. (you can see it on the post 'some things that are going to happen') Meema is going to come. Well, I need to go and try on a wig now, so I'll blog after the feis!
Hello!
Today the person emailed us and said that they had sent the dress! It will probably take 4 to 6 days, not counting it getting stuck at the border. I will show you a picture:
Isn't it pretty?
And, I got my desk! Its fits wonderfully, and I really like it. Now I have drawers for all of my things!!
My last 'desk' wasn't really a desk because it didn't have any room for the feet. It was a handy little bookshelf (which I think it was actually supposed to be) and I don't think that we are going to get rid of it. It's planned on being used for all of our school stuff. Here is a picture of my desk:
I have all of my things on it. (Sorry, my room is a titch messy)
Well, today was normal. In school we read about Marco Polo and his adventures. I remember about 2 years ago we read about Marco Polo. We (Miranda and I) liked that book lots.
Well, the Redwall book that I am reading now is Marlfox. Its kind of interesting because there isn't a Warrior (so far) and there isn't a Abbot or a Abbess. (Please, don't think me weird, people who don't know what Redwall is)
Well, we have a family show tomorrow, and we are rehearsing things right now, so I'll blog more tomorrow!
